Do you recommend we go for a serviced/luxury apartment (e.g. Montaje, 345 Harrison, etc.) or hire a broker to get a “normal” apartment?

Can my license be renewed without the original extension petition? Or do I need to wait for the originals to come in. Trying to understand what do I need to carry to the DMV. Based in CA.
