I was in healthcare there for many years - great culture, mostly kind reasonable people, but really behind the times in terms of technology and analytics. Very methodology based. So, I’m not sure what area of analytics you are joining - perhaps new things are growing - but it was not top tier in those areas. I’m honestly not even sure where analytics would sit at Huron - healthcare and higher Ed are really the core businesses.
Things have definitely changed even over the past 3-5 years. Huron was able to avoid large-scale layoffs on the strength of its ES&A and Business Advisory practices supporting a crummy year for Healthcare and Higher Ed (not their fault, it was an industry issue not a Huron issue)
I’m in higher Ed, but the culture firm wide is generally pretty great. I don’t think any of us are here because Huron pays us super well. It’s a LOT smaller than Accenture, so usually people build reputations quickly and then it’s easier to get good experience/ exposure.
Analytics as in ES&A? The Analytics Center of Excellence? Agreed with H1. One of the best consulting cultures I’ve seen. I definitely don’t think we get paid poorly, but I also think I’d rather take a little less and get to have my weekends and evenings to myself.
For healthcare?
For analytics
Since Huron was founded by former Arthur Andersen partners, I wonder if the firm is similar to Accenture.
