I’m at a Fortune 500 company with an employee stock purchase plan but I’m unhappy with my salary and job title. I was offered an opportunity to make 30k more with the title I want with a smaller company doing the same role. I’m wondering if it’s the right career move to just jump ship…Any guidance is much appreciated.

I’m going through the recruitment process at McKinsey for a middle/back office role (capabilities for a really cool space) but by the time I hear back, one of my offers won’t be on the table. Currently a big 4 consultant and got an offer from FAANG for a strategy and ops role that would bring my total comp up 60%. I’m really grateful for the offer and really excited, however, I am also interviewing with MBB. It has always been a goal of mine to work for tier 1 strategy firm as I’ve always felt on the outside looking in at big4. I feel like most exit ops from strategy would be S&O industry roles but still can’t get these MBB firms out of my mind. Am I just overthinking this?

I was just talking to a younger friend who goes to Cal and It seems like the kids these days hate FAANG or at least Amazon and Facebook are not desired at all.
