Many thanks in advance

I’m not an MBA, but am a UXer and know the field is full of career changers and others w/ non traditional career paths. Because UX research is still relatively new, hiring managers in that field can be open minded and willing to train. Search for UX researcher portfolios online to see what you’d need to prepare.
Trying to get smarter about the space - have heard Marty Cagan’s “Inspired” is a good book to read. Curious if anyone here has WORKED with MBAs in this role too, and what general advice they have for someone like me. I don’t think I’m ready for product manager, feel like getting into UX would be a better fit??
This looks like a really interesting transition role! Thank you so much!
Hi there - I’m in a similar position and can try to help in terms of how I’ve navigated / what has and hasn’t worked. Are you more interested in product management or UX research in the long run? And have you had any design or research experience in the past?
Depending on your exposure, an option you could look into would be internal roles if they offer it (not sure how Accenture is structured, I know there is Fjord but unsure how entry-level friendly that is). Alternatively like someone said above, there are ops role where youre doing more support work for research and planning. If you have some initial exposure or project experience you might not have to start entry level, but it’s a pretty competitive field as a lot of folks are coming in with masters and PhDs.
ZS Associates is the consulting firm I left to get my MBA and they have a lot of great market research work and a new UX / UI team there. May be worth looking into the Qualitative Expertise center there.
I’m leaving Consulting to do entrepreneurship and work on my own startup. Definitely a lot of opportunities in startups to do a little bit of a lot of things.
