Soft layoffs at ProServe today ?
Hi fishes,
Any guess how many people are laid off from Publicis sapient in past few days? Really scared for my future as I'm also under probation period and deeply regret for my choice of joining this firm...I don't understand why were they recruiting peeps when they were short of projects. Publicis Sapient

I have recently joined EY SaT group as senior consultant recently in Netherlands. I’m tripple masters in MS economics, MBA and MS business analytics. Have 4 YOE in different industries but no M&A experience specifically. Any ideas what company should be offering me? I’ll be working as expert on commercial due diligence, FDD and valuation teams and doing automation alongside. is it wise to demand higher salary or promotion soon after I have proven that I can work and do it better than most?EY

Can’t say enough good things about my MacBook Air.
I’ve had 3 since 2013 for personal use plus one at the moment for work—it’s always done everything I needed of it, including a decent amount of heavy python and Apex/Java.
It’s an absolute game changer when traveling for work—I use my iPad Pro as a second monitor; it’s cut the size and weight on the stuff I have to carry by about 2/3.
Lenovo X1 Yoga assuming you are doing your MBA, so Excel/PowerPoint for PC works much better than on the Mac. Pretty much the similar model the Firm uses, except Yoga allows you to flip the monitor to become a pad to say watch TV series on your flight while traveling
Firm computers do take a beating between # of hours worked, proprietary software that possibly aren’t efficient, and security programs they have running in the background. Lenovo is usually a safe/reliable bet just pay attention to specs
I've been looking at some Acer Aspire laptops with i7 chips and 512 SSDs that look pretty nice. And they don't cost an arm and a leg. My current Dell is like the pickup truck of laptops, solidly functional, but I kind of wish I had an excuse to buy a new machine.
You don’t need a lot. Don’t spend a lot.
MacBook Air or an older gen Microsoft surface
I’m asking who in IB recruiting is going to ever see your laptop… I was thinking maybe you’d need it for LBO tests, but that’s PE to my knowledge. Otherwise they give you one, no? I’m trying to understand when they would have the opportunity to see your laptop/be a joke to them
I have a Lenovo which is really really old and a Microsoft Surface Pro. I love my Microsoft but I will say that Lenovo has been with me for over a decade and still works just fine. They are super durable and last a really really long time.
