Disney courses aren’t really anything special.
Will go to one just for the proshop! Thanks
There’s a couple nice tracks in Ocala. Wouldn’t expect much in Gainesville. Championsgate CC and the resort courses are nice. As stated above, the Disney courses, while generally very well manicured, are pretty easy and you can find nicer for the price. I always enjoy playing them though. Bay Hill is obviously a big name, but I think you have to stay at the resort unless you know somebody. Grand Cypress is unique and fun. I’ve always liked Black Bear, Eagle Dunes, and Eagle Creek. World Woods, Streamsong, and Innisbrook are all nice resorts if you’re looking for the resort experience and are willing to drive west a bit (Innisbrook and streamsong prob too far from where you’re looking).
Appreciate the detailed reply! Grand Cypress and Black Bear look great especially. Sad to head about Gainesville, I see Ironwood is an option but looks a bit underwhelming
I do agree with the championsgate courses being fun. Celebration I found fun but some people find it boring. I also liked shingle creek
If you can get on at Golden Ocala you should give it a shot. It has a number of replica holes that are very well done. The clubhouse is also impressive. Have your club pro give them a call to try and make a tee time.
