OP : in my experience people are more vocal when they feel injustice. And sometimes people just want to scare others and watch fun.
Believe me there are way more positive experiences than negative.

H1B extension got RFE-ed
Took them 2 months to file response. Regular processing.
And now 2 more months to hear back from USCIS is what they say.
Not sure how it has been for other folks with firm.
Yeah its weird our law firm is super wary of premium. But i know my friends in the other big 4 and accenture n all get their extensions done in premium without any issues. They would rather prefer you leave the country than do their job properly and file in premium when needed.
Mine got extended Friday. Was a refile based on a denial sep 2018. Was a great start to the long weekend...but just now saw that the extension is only till end of 2019.
Glad I dont have to leave US as I heard some other M's had to just last week (i94 had expired dec 2018) but this is just ridiculous.
Have been with Deloitte 7 years now and 11 years in US post grad school. Never had any any Visa issues till now...

Yes, I agree that the RFE situation is extremely frustrating. My extension was filed in December under regular processing even though leadership was ready for premium. My I-94 expired at the end of April. Two weeks ago, I got an RFE for the following: Employer-Employee relationship, Specialty Occupation and if there is enough specialty work at the client. I prepared my RFE response and just at the last minute checked my LCA to find that the lawyers messed my application up by filing it under Information Security Analyst SOC Code. I am a Business Intelligence Analyst and my job duties were aligned to this role. Imagine my frustration. Now I have to prove somehow that I am an Information Security Analyst through my RFE answers. The only good thing is that my leadership has been very supportive. My only advice to everyone is never trust lawyers blindly, and before they file your case check the SOC code yourself.

Nope.
PwC1 how long did it take to get the approval. The lawyers actually warned me against doing premium saying they are seeing more RFE’s in premium. Sounded BS to me but anyway. Also what centre was your extension filed to?
They just filed response and told me the current USCIS timeline is 7-9 months 🤪
Hi OP, I hear your frustration and I was on the same boat as you. My extension was filed in February and was approved in April. I wanted to get my process started from December, but kept on pushing back with holiday and stuff from the law firm. I’m not sure if it’s true that the PP would incur more RFEs (I don’t think it will really matter imo), the firm def doesn’t like the idea of the PP. Honestly, i think it depends on who you have as handling your work. My suggestion to you is, keep your leadership in your email chain in the communication with the Law, so they can help your case to be PP’d, but also at the same time, ping the attorney/law clark to build some relationships. This way, they seem to be more prompt in your concerns and questions. It is a frustrating and a long journey. I wish you the best luck!! If you need any advice, feel free to reach out also.
Thanks PwC 4. I’m trying that as well. I did involve my leadership for PP but they pretty much went with the immigration team saying its not safe n all. I’m gonna try again in a few months if I don’t see any movement. Fingers crossed.
I got RFE which eventually got cleared and got full 3 year extension. My RFE was on speciality occupation
Original filing was in May, RFE in aug-sep soon after application upgrade to premium. Cleared around oct-nov with a week of RFE response
