Any tips on disciplining a newly “Terrible” two year old. He usually just laughs when I raise my voice and he enjoy himself if trying to give him a time out so not sure he learns much from it.

Find what he loves most and take it from him... I say that half-jokingly. Kids are driven by different things. My kid loved the roomba. He misbehaved and no more roomba time. It worked pretty well and now he’s a fairly well-mannered 3 year old.

Lol. My kid is also two. There is no magic bullet. From what I read, the most important thing to do is try to remain calm. Provide the guard rails, but try not to raise your voice. It’s impossible to never do so, but the more even you are, the more they’ll learn to also manage their own emotions. There is a book called “how toddlers thrive” that I love. It’s not that it helped me figure out how to fix my kid. That’s not possible. What it does is help you understand the brain development of toddlers. Why they do what they do. The more you learn about the toddler POV, the more you can step it of yourself and try to empathize.

That said, I still yell at my toddler frequently. It’s impossible for me to stay steady all the time.

I just finished a big jury trial with a senior partner (SP). There were co-parties w/separate counsel. SP mentally checked out, to the point that co-counsel was asking what SP was doing/if SP was okay. I ended up handling most everything. SP did a few parts but went rogue and did things that were offensive/risky/bad for client. It became clear that SP is not performing like SP used to and may be a liability. Do I tell someone at my firm? Don’t want to offend SP or cause drama, but I’m concerned.

Hello PwC AC Friends,

I have been on bench since I joined the firm 3 months ago. Now I have got project but still on bench. I have got mail regarding not raising snapshots because I was on bench so i didn't do anything except trainings and some learning. I don't have hours to raise snapshot for.

What shall I do in this case? I am very much worried that if i don't have any project hours to show, will they fire me or what actions are supposed to be taken ? Thanks.

Looking for some advice here: I work for a client that loves me & I love him back as well. Get along super well with the creative team and we’re like “one team” . However, I am having problems with the management of my agency. I thought of maybe talking with my client about it (the CMO) to see if he pressures the account MDs. Any tips on how to solve this situation?

Started a new job a year ago, high performer. My manager suggested a promotion to Product Manager since that‘s the work I’m doing, but that would be a 50% raise. Higher ups decided instead to make a “new role” (not PM), that has no analog in the company and is hard to price via Glassdoor, etc. I feel like this is to limit my promotion salary to something like 10% from where it currently is. Is there anything I can do? FWIW: I have a PhD from top 5 program and am working in that field. Thanks!

Anyone have advice for advancing in your current role? My co-worker was hired in at manager level but somehow “proved” he was actually doing director level work and got a title promotion and salary increase in less than a year. I also went above and beyond my job as well (covering for him for a month while he was away on paternity leave) while taking on other projects outside of my job title and got zip—no raise or recognition. Any advice would be appreciated!

I have my annual review coming up and want to hear thoughts on what a reasonable raise expectation is. I report to the COO and currently make $94k + up to 10% annual bonus based on company hitting their revenue goal + I have 3000 stock options. I have 3 YOE in customer success but pivoted to a non technical program manager role at a series c tech startup last September. I have been getting consistently positive feedback at quarterly reviews. What raise should I aim for?
