After 10 years of working as a FTE PM/producer I’ve now been laid off (thanks Covid) and am looking to start freelancing for the first time. What advice do you have for a new freelance PM/producer?

So wanna run something by you all. Looking at insurance plans. There are 4 plans that allow an HSA. 3 of the 4 are identical.
500 firm contribution to HSA = ~21/ pay period. Add that to lowest HSA premium plan. It still comes out lower than the out 3 plans. So what am I missing?

Which one should I go for?

When you recruiters say at the end of a 15 min call.
“I will get back to you by the end of this week” does that really mean “your not right for this position”? Because this whole thing is a waste of time. I’ve been a freelance print production designer for many years, and usually on-site in the before times. Now I work remote, and am finding it uneasy dealing with billing. Before I always billed hourly, which made sense, but it’s becoming an issue now. Some companies don’t have a full days’ work, so it seems wrong to bill full days, and it allows me to juggle projects for different companies, but my billable hours are down. I know I should bill a daily rate, but not sure that will fly. Thoughts?
