Hi Fishes
I would like to know about the client interviews (especially in data science or machine learning roles).
Are these interviews tough?
Are these interviews meant to assess technical knowledge? For example, what is binomial distribution, what are different data structures in python, ml algorithms etc.
I would request each of the nagarrians to share their thoughts irrespective of the technologies you are working.
I am thankful to you for taking time and helping me out.

It has been 2+ weeks since I completed the Interview & Psychometric Assessment rounds with Macquarie Group , but yet to hear anything from them. I also followed up with HR but with no response. For the record, the interview went well. Any idea if they usually take this amount of time to get back? If I got rejected, why not communicate directly?

I mean, I used to not respond to thank you emails unless I liked them 🤷🏻♂️

Don’t read into it. They’re probably just at their computer and able to write back.
That being said, a lot of interviewers don’t always right back. So there’s also that... good luck!

Yeah as an interviewer I tend to write back quickly and keep things close to the vest. Unless I didn’t like the candidate at all, then I would just ignore the email.

I rarely ever write back. If I did, it was once I knew they had received an offer. That is a week or two after the interview.
What if they quickly wrote back and said “good luck with your search!” Isn’t that weird? Recently happened to my bf
OP, still waiting, he sent the thank you note right after the interview and the person responded instantaneously with that note. Thought was very weird and ominous...

They wrote that that thanks for the note and that they enjoyed talking and would be in touch soon.
Wouldn't think too much into it. I think it's only courteous to respond back but then again, who am I?

That’s nice, and more than I would give anyone I wasn’t seriously considering hiring.

I usually don't write back unless the thank you note includes a question I need to respond to or the interview was for a internship (because I want to be nice to college/law students).
