Recently interviewed someone in a group setting on zoom for a much higher position than any of us on the call. The candidate was lovely, but my colleagues (all women) were on their phones the whole time and were more concerned with selling themselves than determining if the candidate was the right fit. They definitely didn’t portray our team or the company in a nice light. Do I bring it up to my boss? Do I sit back and see if that candidate decides not to pursue us further?

When you’re told that you’re going to be promoted and start doing that higher-level work, but on paper the title and pay bump gets delayed by 6 months due to admin, would you put on your resume the date it got finalized on paper or when you took on that extra responsibility?

I got a promo today. It was basically catching my title up to the work I’m doing already. No added work. I’m not excited because I feel like it’s an afterthought and overdue. Prime example of too little too late.

If you got a job offer and were under 12 weeks pregnant, would you say anything? I just had my annual review which was given by my partner and a counsel. For some reason which I don’t understand, the counsel (who I considered a mentor up until then) bashed my work. I was so stunned that I wasn’t able to defend myself. I am now debating to talk to the partner about her behavior towards me, especially since she has already crossed a line in the recent past: she forced me to go to a hearing with her though she told me her husband had Covid and pleaded without mask with fever.
