Really good way to be fired. Against firm policy to book work expenses on a personal card
Sorry I did not scroll to see if someone already said this: I was able to pay a fee and get points on my corporate amex card when I worked at EY (through 2022). Might still be the same. Google it. 😀
Your colleague is lamenting the fact that he only earns one point on purchases made with the corporate card therefore one can assume he is paying the fee to earn points.
“Hurts my soul”
SMH
I never thought of using the airline miles and hotel points I earn through work travel for family trips before, thanks for the tip SM 2.
You can call Amex and pay a fee to get the points for your personal account
Do you have a credit card from your employer? If so, I would say use that one. Why does it hurt YOUR soul? Isn't the employer paying/reimbursing for your travel expenses?
If you'd rather get the points than reimbursement, go nuts
No, we do not - since this is against firm guidance.
Points rly is a good thing… business class for life
I think you can pay 50$ annually to link your corp card with a personal Amex card to get the points
Used to use the Delta AMEX for everything and banked serious points traveling weekly for 3 years but stopped 2-3 years ago as the firm continues to crack down on non EY AMEX expenses
