What’s the real harm in using work computer for some personal activities. From checking your bank accounts to booking vacation... I don’t have a personal computer so I do a lot of that random stuff. Never upload pictures and what not tho
Agreed. It’s almost expected these days
I use my office one for most of my personal use. I have a personal computer which I rarely turn on. I am using the firm provided computer most of the time so if I have to check personal emails or banking stuff I am not going to open personal computer.
I keep mine separate. I’ve always just associated my work laptop as work so every time I open it, it gives me anxiety lol. I use personal laptop so I can relax 100%.
I do not. I keep work for work and personal for personal. In 4 years of working I’ve never even so much as checked or logged into Facebook or even gone to YouTube from my work computer. I think I got to KPMG’s blocked content page once from misspelling google in my browser
You don’t have to be so strict
Yes I do. Mostly because my laptop recently broke, and I don't have the money to buy a new one. Maybe after I get my refund
Financial, travel, email, etc yes. No to movies, even Netflix, gaming, or anything remotely questionable including certain online shopping as those targeted ads will follow you for months and show up at inopportune times. I also don't use it for Facebook etc as I don't need more excuses to waste time at work plus I have a phone.
I use a tablet for personal stuff. It helps keep the personal stuff private. And it’s hard to schedule interviews when IT is watching.
