I call them clients
I occasionally do and then I catch myself and remind myself that no-one is worrying about me and what I am doing. They are all often more worried about themselves. They are not thinking about you as much as you think they are!

^this... Really people are more focused on what is good for them and if that results in your detriment, it is because of that, not because they set themselves to attack you specifically. In oher words "people don't think about you nearly as much as you think they do"
Yes. It depends though on your group / firm. I feel that all the time in my practice while others at the same firm but different practices have a much more collaborative / collegial atmosphere.

Common to feel this way. However in most cases, those ppl are too busy worrying about themselves to sabotage someone else.
A lot of the time the way they are trying to help themselves involves your sabotage (associates who want to step over and prove themselves compared to the Senior they work with is a common one)
Get out of your own head. Go talk to someone. This is almost never the case.
