Deloitte peeps. Just saw a posting for Investment Management & Real Estate Sr. Consulting role. How are the state of things. Are they actually hiring or keeping the pipeline warm?

Currently an associate at a V30 and negotiating a partnership position at another V30. What is the correct way to maximize the pay in the negotiation as a lateral partner? I’m afraid of settling at a lower price than what they can do at the top end of the range! Do I anchor by asking for an outrageous figure or let them offer a salary figure first?

HELP! When using other offers to negotiate salary, does the employer usually ask for proof of your other offers that you mentioned? I’m super new to this so I’m just curious.

Also, if they do ask to show proof, is that a red flag? Or is that pretty common? If so, I imagine I’d just block out the company name and stuff like that?
