EY 🐠: technically will get info via recruiter this week but curius how is the onboarding process? Havent gotten the background check yet. I start in November. Trying to understand the timing of recruiters sending out links for on onboarding. Also, in my application on Careers Page, it still says, “In technical interviews” even though my recruiter has already sent me Offer Terms. Is this anything to worry or am I just overthinking?

Delta has said that regardless of technology changes, they wont allow in-flight calls because that would kill the experience for everyone else.
That being said, all of their new planes have high speed WiFi and you can probably listen on a Skype call - you may just have to use a vpn

I've done it. Dialed in and listened to call. If you are on a flight with reasonable wifi you will pick up most of the call. Some of the older gogo set ups are good enough but it will work with the new satellite based wifi.

Most wont let you stream, too much bandwidth consumed
I’ve used gmail phone to dial into meetings to sit and listen, both Skype and Zoom (or anything - as long as you have the number). I offer this up only because I’ve been there where I wanted to listen, and for my name to show up as an attendee, but for the love of all that is sacred NEVER take an actual call in the air where you have to speak - your neighbors will despise you
Lol! I made a ~45min call on a plane before (I had to translate a document urgently and needed help), and literally no one around me noticed- not even the people next to me. It was nighttime on an international flight and the engine/plane noises completely drowned out my voice.
Don’t believe that for a second. I’d bet $$$ that at least people close to you heard and we’re just willing you to stop so they could sleep. There’s very little common courtesy left in the world, and this is a dick move. OP don’t be that guy
I cannot believe that we are having a legit discussion around taking calls while in the air so comfortably :-) Anyone outside of consulting would find it ridiculous!
Policy varies by airline. I wouldn’t do it so you’re not a complete pain to the passengers next to you
Would it occur to you that others on the plane might also want to get some work done on their laptops and you’re hogging all the bandwidth on your Skype call?
Again that’s an issue to take up with Delta. My point is the issue with high cost low bandwidth internet is not any one passengers fault. Nor are they responsible for rationing it.
Its that attitude which allows companies to walk all over consumers...

I’ve joined a Skype call from the plane and didn’t have a problem. I was in listen only mode though so unless someone saw my screen they had no idea
