Anyone here ever been "held" by a partner for a role? Might be held for over a month and worried about my chargeability

Do I tell the MD to email my CC about the scenario during performance reviews? MD won't be on the call

like

Performance reviews are coming up in a month too and I'll be on the bench for almost a month by then. PD code doesn't help chargeability unfortunately at Acn

like

Yes- be very careful op. I joined EY in Jan of 2016, and held for a role for 5 months. Not only the project never happened, but the partner actively blocked me from joining other project teams. When review came around in June, 6 months after I joined the firm, my rating was a two, for below avg utilization.
If you are getting held for more than 2 weeks, make sure your counselor and experience manager (or at least their equivalents at your firm) are aware.

like

Yes it sucks. I used some of my pto to lessen the blow but ask them to give you a code or something

We pretty strongly discourage it. Sold work wins is a pretty strongly adhered to mantra. Exception for a week or something but a month is a very long time!

@op: discussions are going to occur in the next few weeks so ask him to leave you a review on your performance page if he has a good understanding of your performance and ask him to reach out to your cc as well to explain your situation. But also the firm has been pretty strict with bench times these days from my personal experience

Ask your CC to reach out to him. Both for PA and for your general sanity. He won't do anything about getting you staffed (or a chargeable code) until someone starts making noise.

Hi Fishes, I've an offer letter for Accenture Strategy (M&A) for Senior Manager, India and my joining is in 3 days. Package is very good, but no immediate relocation opportunities. May happen in future.

Now at the very last moment, I've got an M&A leader role from Wipro. Reporting to a board member. This is a global role and will be based in US. L1 visa to be initiated.

Any suggestions on which is a better offer? And, how best I can negotiate here to get myself a better deal. Gracias!

Dyslexia! After having our kindergartener son tested (privately) related to ADHD, we were told he may have dyslexia too (which would explain why he struggles so much with phonics but is amazing at sight words). He has a very high IQ.
