Anyone here ever plan a trip to the museum? Was it just for your at classes or for the entire school? How did it go?

The whole school is way too many - for your sanity and for most museums (depending on your school size).

I take 100ish students every year. In elementary every student takes art, so I narrow it down and always take the same grade level so I eventually get everyone. Our museum has grants for busses and provides docents for each group of 10.

Some museums have options that they can send to you, which may be worth exploring if it’s for the whole school.

Hi all,

I have cleared all the interviews for Walmart and salary negotiations are also done. A month ago the recruiter said that they are waiting on some approvals and once it is done we will be issuing the offer letter but I haven't heard back any other update since then. Am I getting rejected or is it normal to be on hold without any update for a month at this stage?

If you follow the cryptocurrency market, or even have been just taking an interest lately, with the Bitcoin "halvening," you should check out Pi.

If you haven't heard of Pi, it's a new cryptocurrency (like Bitcoin), developed by a bunch of Stanford PhDs. What makes it really interesting is that you can still mine this coin, using just the processing power of your phone, unlike just about every other coin out there. (Contd)

Working on a deal where buyer's side keeps on insisting on a POA to effectuate all actions of Seller under the agreement, including executing documents. I keep striking this and commenting that this is not standard. Has anyone dealt with this? I am okay with a limited POA based on the industry of the Seller, but not this general POA.

We talk about keeping rigor in our classes, however I’m finding my HS students need straight forward instructions. Most students are struggling to meet their Maslow’s needs that to use higher Blooms seems like a stretch. How are you all supporting creativity and originality in artwork when kids are struggling to keep afloat?

It only took me 7 years to figure this system out.... posting in case it helps anyone else! I color coded my classes and printed off numbers according to the number of kids in my classes. I then assign each kid a number that corresponds with my gradebook. When they turn in their projects, they put their number with it. This way, no contact and I can easily see who has and hasn't turned in their projects yet. I take the list down once they remember their number.
