Hey All. I had my 2nd round interviews for a Lead Solution Engineer role at Salesforce on Monday (2 days ago). It was w/ 2 separate SEs, and I thought both interviews went very well. Have yet to hear from the recruiter, though, which seems odd. Especially given how responsive the recruiter's been prior to this.

Elementary art teachers. I have been teaching the artabet from Ron Mulvey out of Canada. He teaches 6 basic lines to learn and how to draw using the lines. Round and round, back and forth, up and down, zigzag, wiggle wiggle and dot dot dot. It has been a success for me.

We talk about keeping rigor in our classes, however I’m finding my HS students need straight forward instructions. Most students are struggling to meet their Maslow’s needs that to use higher Blooms seems like a stretch. Every time I try to teach self-portraits, I have tears. I am trying to remind them to be kind to themselves, that the goal is to always be improving and never perfection. I draw simply for them in any demonstrations I do. But inevitable, someone is crying. 3rd-6th grade, mostly. Anyone else?
