Anyone here work at MLSE Digital Labs? Applied for a job there. I’ve heard bad things about MLSE proper (long hours, poor compensation, forced return to work, unnecessarily competitive, etc) but I’m curious if digital labs is any different. Any insight is appreciated, thanks

Do not work there. They offered me 90K while RBC offered me 130K for a similar role (director level). And of course better hours and life.
They suck to work for because they are “cool”, but honestly there are “cool” companies to work for that dont totally suck.
Also its like 2% annual raises if you are lucky.

Yes rbc better hours and life.

Can't comment on digital labs specifically but can confirm compensation in MLSE is lowwwwww

Hi! I have worked in management roles in tech, mainly in analytics, for approximately 10 years. My TC has fluctuated (currently around 135K CAD), but it seems like it's relatively easy to breach the 100K bar, but hard to breach the 150K bar. I now work at the CBC, but I have worked in the private sector too. What is the most realistic way to move to 200K? 1) Continue moving the ladder to a VP position, 2) Switch to Pre-Sale, 3) Switch to Consulting, 4) Work from a U.S. company from Canada.

Toronto banks: remote or not? They sometimes post jobs where it doesn’t say it’s remote, but no branch/ location/address either. Then you get an interview and they tell you it’s remote/hybrid(1-2-3days, take your pick)/on-site. So, if you work at TD, Scotia, RBC, could you let everybody know in the comments what’s the deal for each? Are you remote, on-site, hybrid of some sort?
