Anyone in science/biotech marketing recently left for marketing in any other industry?

At very large science supplier for 5 years and it's become miserable. 12 years into career with STEM & marcomms backgrounds and have had jobs at much smaller non science orgs, but spent whole early career trying to break into STEM industry. Now I think actually it might be too toxic to salvage and am wondering if big corps in other fields are any different right now with economy being like it is + AI?

What do you do when there’s absolutely nothing going on at work? The projects I’m working on are all in production, and I’ve raised my hand several times about taking on new work, but there’s nothing right now. Don’t get me wrong, the down-time is nice…but I’m hungry to make stuff.

What are the chances of jumping from IQVIA strategy consulting to T2 or MBB? Have previous 6 yrs exp at b4 management consultant in ops and worked some projects with S& and +2 years corporate and value and access in IQVIA

My #1 peeve about agencies is the old school habit of emailing everything. The most efficient offices leverage task/mgmt platforms to manage workflows/bandwidth. Crowded inboxes of nonsense = WASTE.

Protocol for responding (or not) to unsolicited emails from recruiters to your work email? In other words, is it acceptable to just ignore without a response? Or do you prefer to keep the line open with a brief “thanks for thinking of me, I am not interested at this time but hope we can collaborate in the future.”

My client’s site got hacked yesterday. I didn’t see any actual signs of impending attack. But knowing how little we do for cyber security when building a site, I knew we must have been vulnerable in some way. I’ve tried pushing for more cybersecurity measures in the last year, but being a Jr, I don’t know a lot about it. What’s an appropriate base salary for a pharma marketing DTC Director for a blockbuster biologic that’s on tv? What are typical bonuses and LTI? We only have 18% bonus and $37k LTI per year (approximately depending on stock price) for directors. Our base salaries are all over the place for directors.

Negotiation in new offer: I’m moving from fully remote to fully in office (with chance of hybrid later) offer for associate director in quality in pharma for 170k base, 18% bonus and 75k equity. I’ve asked for a sign on bonus as I’m not eligible for annual next year and will be missing my current jobs bonus. I should hear tomorrow (asking for 28k). Thoughts about the offer? Should I ask for more equity or is that standard? They’re public (currently ~$20)should I get the hybrid option in writing?
