I would love to review cases such as prior authorization, records for 2nd opinions, etc. The positions that I come across generally require a commitment of at least 24 hrs which is not feasible. I’m an auditor who recently made the switch to advisory. When I was in audit, I could predict my schedule. I knew when I’d be busy (i.e. during busy season or interim) so I didn’t make plans during those weeks or those weekends. In advisory, my schedule has become less predictable. Twice now, I’ve been told about last minute deadlines that have forced me to work over a weekend and late into the evenings, interfering with prior plans I had made. Is this normal in advisory?
