Anyone jump from tax to consulting?

I am a recent grad(Finance), and my MBA school is not a named institute like Stanford. I would want to work for a consulting co. who is heavily involved in Finance. Can you help me create a roadmap from where should I start? What are top finance business consulting companies and how to get there? My undergrad was in science.

How has your comp changed with TS/SCI clearance? After jumping ship? Looking to see if the long term salary increase is worth the clearance.

Hello friends. I’ve been in IB for a little over a year now and I’m looking to move to a role in real estate because I just find it more interesting. This is a pretty broad ask so all comments are appreciated - what kinds of roles are out there (PM? Acq? AM?). How is the work life balance (hrs/week). What is comp like? Any recommendations for firms in the broader multifamily space?

Does someone know good instructors to get SCM certification?

I’m an Environmental Protection Specialist and make pretty good money for what I do. I just feel like I have more to offer than being a worker bee in a system at 25. I work with a lot of retirees and would love to return in my latter professional years. I have my Bachelors in Applied Coastal Environmental Science and want to expand my options. Any suggestions that won’t require me taking a crazy pay cut? I’m pretty much open to anything.

Would switching from S& to LEK boost, hurt, or not change exit ops to PE/ PE ops/Corp dev & strat roles? Also looking at benefits of not having independence and utilization requirements. Thanks!

I'm thinking of moving from large cap tech to large cap consultancy firm to help build the resume and round out my experience. I enjoy and do well in licensing, but I'm fairly young in my career (<6 years) and received a great offer to make the move.

In my current company I think the development portion I've been given is kinda simple, I've asked my manager and seniors to level up my work and stuff, *which they did* but I kinda caught up.. now what should I do, should I ask them to level up again or look for better opportunities
Also, I had some Interest in CyberSecurity and I grinded it on my pre-final semester at Uni, should I try on that path as well or should I stick to development?

I am currently in an IT internship position (making pretty solid money considering) and following this summer I will stay on part time during my senior year (discussing a full-time job offer after already). I’m getting my computer science degree, so I would like to do something more technical in the workplace when I graduate. How do I advocate myself for that to my manager without sounding unappreciative of the position I’m in?

Is front end web dev a lucrative career choice? Currently in the commercial banking industry but don’t enjoy it a ton, enjoy learning basic front end web dev because I like the control and creative aspect of it, was curious if I should just keep it as a hobby and keep a stable banking job or possibly look into trying to prepare to make a switch in a few years. I have 3 YoE and would be moving from engineering. the HR person asked me what my salary expectations were I was caught offguard and said I would expect it to be at least what I make now (around 100k). Im now worried theyll lowball me because I really shouldve asked for 120+bonus (I think this is market rate?) But they have salary bands they follow right?So if they pay consultants 140 usually would they offer me 100k?

Round 1: HR round. cleared.

Round 2: Hiring manager round. Went well.

After 2 weeks they said Role no longer available. It was L5 supply chain role. This happened in April. Can I apply again in Amazon?
