Now am in redeployment period.My Redeployment period initiated from 5th Dec ember 2022 to January 19th 2023.I am getting a mail to Roll on acknowledgement to my previous project.My question is though Rollon intiated I have to acknowledge or no need to acknowledge becoz am in redeployment period.Please clear my doubt.

Have you heard about the new law implemented by the Dept of Labor on October 8th regarding contract 1099 employees? The IRS is looking to reclassify most contract 1099 workers to full-time employees of the company. It will increase companies costs but reduces labor costs by IRs and DOL by 30%. I’d be careful how you’re labeling your contact workers at this point and take a good look at this new rule they implemented.
Check Staffing Industry Analysts (SIA). They have great info regarding contingent and contract labor.
I think that on legal issues, it is important to have a lawyer involved directly. It would save a lot of time and money for the company. It is ok to do your own research but it is risky if you will have to take decisions about legal issues for the company.
Are there any specific legal issues you want info on? I think you'd be better off searching specific issues than general 1099 legal issues.
I've been 1099 for over 3 years now in several different roles. Some are a few days, some contracts continue to grow more and more; change and evolve. What particular legal issues are you looking to understand with 1099 contractors?
