Anyone on PwC heard from the law team on the second round of h1b lottery?

I have been waiting to join Deloitte with H1B transfer. Received RFE early march and waiting for BAL to send response. It has been almost 2 months and getting really anxious. Irrespective of the result of rfe, atleast the filing should be done. I have also not received any response on reminder emails sent last week. Is this very common ?, feeling really anxious and confused.

Any suggestions on which country to get a new H1B stamp? My current visa will be expired next month. I have a plan to travel to Germany next spring. My home country is on the other side of the world with quarantine still takes place for all visitors. My employer won’t allow working from outside the US during quarantine otherwise I’d fly back home to get the stamp. Just wanted to make sure that I can get a new one on time.

Hello H1B community - I apologize if someone has asked this question already, I tried looking but didn’t find much on the topic. What should I do if my status is expiring in the next month? My OPT is expiring in June and I was approved for H1B but via consular notification, not change of status. I was supposed to go to India in April for stamping but obviously couldn’t given the circumstances. Is anyone in the same boat / have any advice?

I often meet Indian/Bangladeshi and other immigrant cab drivers when I take a cab. Makes me wonder how they make it till here when the immigration process is so difficult even for highly skilled people. Do they have family that sponsored them? They don't look privileged enough to have rich families spending so much for an outcome that may take years. Are they illegal? I don't imagine they'd be able get a driving licence and survive for long. I'm just baffled by the sheer number of cab drivers who can't speak fluent English, but seem to have cracked the immigration hurdles we are not able to.

Any consultants with H1B? It takes min 3 weeks for the firm to file the LCA amendment to add new worksites. But projects always come with short notice. Any suggestions?

I am planning to apply for H1b next year, and want to join Masters degree August 2021 in a different state than my work location. I plan to work remotely for a year while I'm in school. If I get selected for H1B, I will be working in Cap-gap until Oct. 1st. My concern is: can I start school in August next year, while still waiting for H1B till Oct. 1st? Have an h1b transfer/extension question: my H1b was approved under employer A in oct 2019 till sep 2022. Assumption is that I am eligible for an extension in 2022 until 2025. Is this assumption incorrect? I now am switching to employer B and per my transfer petition, my h1b validity is only until April 2024. While it appears like I am losing a year, will employer B still do an extension next year in September where this will be corrected?
