Currently live in NYC and I absolutely hate it as I love mountains and playing outdoors. I can either relocate now and have a stagnant but decent career that will allow me to enjoy my life. Yet, I also have ambition to climb up this corporate ladder in NYC and grind out here and hope to retire sooner and live wherever I want hopefully in 15 years or so and meantime travel occasionally to enjoy those things. Hi! I recently switched to a new employer, who promised in writing on email that they’d start my GC process right after I complete 3 months with the firm. I’m currently on the 4th month and the process has not yet begun.

- My company has agreed to send me to their London office for a year (haven't yet filed application).
- OPT ends in late June, so I can stay till mid-late August (grace period).

Question:
Should I just move to London as soon as I'm able to, or is it worth waiting until the end of my OPT in August in case they do a second round of the H1B lottery?
