Rising Star
I think it’s generally a messy transition for most accounts that change agencies no?
Muchhhh much longer than the WPP transition which was a whopping 3 weeks. It's been months and GroupM still has personnel hanging around on this and Coke is extending scopes to keep on resources they need still. How big did the Publicis team end up being hearing sub 200?
A little messy but not bad, all things considered. It was an insanely quick transition timeline for such a massive account and that def caused some early pains, but seems like internal systems are being stood up quickly and they’re hiring fast. Clients also really seem to understand a lot of the pressure and have given the team a lot of grace during this transition window, can’t say the same for other agency transitions I’ve worked through.
Oh that’s interesting
I know WPP reorganized on their end so some people moved over to Open X to still help
It’s actually going great
Your clients all feel different.
The people who say it should always be smooth sailing Day 1 once you own the account, I’m not sure if they’ve ever actually worked on a new business account, especially within a large agency and with as large of a client as Coca Cola. It always takes a bit to find footing with the transition into internal processes and platforms, navigate the new working relationship between clients and vendors, and rightsize any teams to reflect what was requested in scope vs actual workload. Overall the office moral is good so far with the account so “mess” is likely subjective dependent on team member.
How has it been recently with clients complaining so loud in the industry about their Publicis teams? What changed that it's coming up now so heavy?
