Hello Guys,
I joined Cognizant recently, the project interview calls which I am getting is not from my base location.
I have the location constraint, should I wait for the right opportunity or raise this concern to ADP team so they can look in to it?
As per ADP policy, one should not have any constraints and take the project as FCFS basis.

A good recruiter is a good recruiter. A good out of state recruiter can be just as effective as a local recruiter -- especially if that recruiter has close ties with the relevant firms on a national level. This is particularly true in the BigLaw space.
The value of a good LOCAL recruiter is that you get the added benefit of detailed market knowledge and close connections with decision makers in that market. All recruiters say they have these connections, but FEW ACTUALLY DO.
The key to avoiding bad recruiters is to ask a lot of pointed questions on the front end. The good ones won't be put off by this. Bad ones will squirm and redirect -- some might even get aggravated that you are asking questions.
I'm based outside of Texas and have relationships with a number of firmwide/office MPs in Texas. Maybe certain nuances are different but firms also tend to run recruiting nationally or by practice, so unless it's a local firm it probably doesn't matter much. And if someone only recruits in Texas they probably don't know the national reputation, so there is benefit in someone with a broader perspective on the firm since Texas reputation and national reputation can be quite different and you also want to make sure your practice is important to the firm nationally as well.
