Got a random email from a supposed Amazon recruiter for a SDE position (which is not at all a fit). The email is amazon.com domain and there are no red flags in the body but it doesn't feel like an Amazon recruiter due to the tacky signature, etc. Has anyone seen this kind of cold-calling from FAANG recruiter?

I networked heavily with Point B across multiple offices and recieved an offer for an Associate position. They lost a lot of great talent during covid and are trying to rebuild but it's slow moving and they were a small firm before. It's primarily staff aug. Some consultants were working for the same client for 2+ years. Offer was $95k in MCOL
Is the Analytics group also essentially staff aug? From networking it sounded like genuine solutions being built but reading posts make me question it.

Generally my understanding of Point B is that they offer great WLB but it comes at the cost of significantly lower pay
We have pay bands based on market rates per position. Our higher ups say the comp philosophy is that nobody should leave or join strictly because of pay. And yes with that you do get top tier WLB.

Not the goal for this group, no. the practice is being built out right now, so you’d probably have the opportunity to be across a lot!

PB3 - What do you mean they will pay in the top 20%? Does that mean in their own bands or in all of consulting and what's the mechanism for longterm compensation for the executive team - is that stock or something else?
