Got what I thought was a rejection email:“We really enjoyed meeting with you. However, we regret to inform you that we are unable to move forward with your application at this time.”

Peer says my #1 office just isn’t hiring currently and it isn’t an outright rejection. Checked application portal too and my application hasn’t been closed/rejected yet

Is this a rejection or is there still an opportunity here?

I have an active secret clearance, BS in strategic intelligence, working on a masters in cybersecurity, and taking Security+ in December. My firm’s IT (especially system saving and file locating function) is so bad 😐😞 and they keep doing updates no one asked them for just to mess with the stuff we already got a hang of without doing anything about the issues we actually need fixed.
