He said that they are still interviewing and will update me by Friday, telling that he will push the hiring manager. The portal also has updated that I am not considered right now. Should I wait?

During the 1st interview, I learned that the compensation for the role is not within the range that I am looking for and requires 400 more billable hours a year than what I bill now.
