Thing is they got bought out by a PE firm, so I don’t see how you could expect to stay there long term. I could sincerely be naïve, but I assume a PE firm owning your consulting firm will result in what happened at Booze Allen - volume / reduced rates / reduced salaries / no culture.
Too bad.
I got an offer from GH at that level at $135k and I know I was leaving money on the table so $140k seems reasonable.
It’s 100% the reason I would move to Guidehouse, they pay ridiculous money

Just to make you regret your decisions months after lol
Not sure if you’re familiar with the hierarchy of titles at GH but Managing Consultant = Manager at other firms. $140K isn’t a crazy amount for that role. Just depends on your past experience.
OP, if they want you you can make 130-140 as an SC but typically with 10+ yoe. But they will probably offer you close to your ask.
140 is in the mc salary range, so it really depends on whether you have the right experience/expertise for that level.
Sounds reasonable to me as long as you have the resume to back it up.
Good luck!
I'm a little confused by the comments above. Can someone confirm the hierarchy at GH?
Also as a newer manager at EY, what level would GH try to place me at ?
Agree on the negotiation part. If you are able to present yourself at a Manager level and make an effective case, you can come in at that level too.

I interviewed and got an offer for a funded MC position last year, the recruiter said the offer of $155 was at the top of the band for that particular position.
