I am Offered 29.5fixed by PwC for SA (L2). Currently on 25fixed. Should I join ? In terms of WLB.! My current employer on fishbowl shows Deloitte but have left Deloitte a year back. Currently in a firm with good WLB but PWFH is a big win for me that PwC is offering.
Any guidance or fist hand experience sharing is highly appreciated.

Spoken like someone who’s never held a hammer.
Even if the hours are longer on average (big if), the conditions in which the average lawyer works, along with pay, benefits, job security etc., are wayyy better than the average blue collar worker.
worked both. 7 years in landscaping and lawn service in South Florida. Now 7 years in corporate law. I can attest that the manual labor was clearly more physically exhausting, but the corporate practice is far more mentally and physiologically exhausting. I am much more drained at the end of the day now than before, and my work day is much longer. Everything in life is a trade off. I make far more income now than before, which I need for my children, but sometimes I do miss those physical labor days. It was far healthier for my body and mind.
Fire your gardeners and try doing their day job in July.

At least we get air conditioning, AA.
Many “blue collar” workers (plumbers, HVAC, elect etc) make well into the 6 figures and prob more than most lawyers except for partners. If youre the owner of said service company then you make $$$$
That’s absolutely accurate in some cases, especially for union employees.
depends on the job.
Go become a stevedore. You should see what those guys make after 20 years in. I do some work at the port. Every time I go, one of the senior stevedores is there, having parked his Rolls Royce in his spot. Nuts.
