I applied with EY for a Senior Manager role I had my first stage interview with a senior manager, which I thought went well as I got the partner interview 2 weeks later, and said I'll be contact within 10 day HR. This did not happen so I chased up. Today I received feedback from HR stating that the senior manager, who would have been my peer, said I didn't have enough experience. But the partner who I would have been working under did like me.
Is this normal with EY recruitment

What is a data lake in basic terms?
Thought this was interesting. Across 160 teams of researchers, just about all failed to make good life outcome predictions on things like GPA, evictions, layoffs, and others. Data followed 4.5k families across 15 years, with 13k features (varied over time). Haven't looked at it directly yet, but will be turning the docs and data inside out... In the meantime, authors claim this as showing the limits of ML. Oh, and it's published in PNAS, so you know there's some big publication energy there.

Sure, if you want to go for VP Analytics / Chief Analytics Officer / Chief Data Officer type roles at an F500 type company. If you want to be a lead Data Scientist at Big Tech or a data startup, a PhD is better. If you just want a Data Scientist role at an F500, you don't need any of that. What do you want to do?

Fantastic combination for being effective. The experience you've gained is far more important than any perks to your brand. But yeah, like others have said, resume gets good branding for management roles.

DS will have better fit that CS. for SWE people don't care about your MBB experience. For DS, if you are technically good and have business sense you are golden
