Does anyone know the criteria used to determine who is selected to be laid off due to COVID?

My MOH is probably not going to be able to attend my wedding bc of covid restrictions. Freaking out slightly because I don't have someone close enough to replace her / I don't know how viable her zooming in would be? Any advice / tips?

I'm starting to get worried about layoffs! What are good fields to carry or translate these skills into? Has anyone done so? Would appreciate any advice!

Industry vets - in your experience how recession proof is insurance? I was not yet in the job market last recession but I watched my mom get laid off and struggle to find employment during that time for the next 1.5 years. I was wanting to hit the job market towards the end of this year, but now I worry that if I do move companies, the recession could put me in position of last one hired first one fired. Am I the only person who has been super disgusted to Fishbowl’s response to the Meta layoffs? I’ve been laid off twice in my career but I’m not mad at 11000 people who no longer have jobs just cause they got decent severance while I got a week on my way out. COVID 19 crisis should make all states compact for licensing. Precious time was lost while nurses who wanted to work waited for states to pass emergency laws.

I interviewed with them (director and vp) till last round and decided to pursue a different opportunity. Great and caring people who seems to support what you wanna do at this position.
