Hey! Any Google folks know if it’s possible to negotiate fully remote if a contract role is hybrid? Personally, I don’t want to relocate and go to the office on a contract role given the current economy. Plus, I’m assuming contractors are the first to go in layoffs. I just think it’s a fair trade off if I’d be allowed to work fully remote. I’m also trying to have flexibility to manage my Airbnb business in a different country. Same time zone as the home office if I’d travel weeks at a time.

If you ask they say no. You basically just have to say yes and risk your reputation by canceling if you get something better
I don’t think it actually does anything at all to your reputation. It’s not a binding contract since all employment is at will. You or them can end it with no repercussion.
In the same boat!
Just ask
I asked for my offer to be extended.
They did but didn’t give much more time.
Accept and reneg if a better offer comes around. This isnt ideal but if you have another firm you want to go to and pwc isnt giving you more time, its your best bet. Just be courteous when reneging the offer if it comes to that
Once you officially sign a new offer go back to the old firm and tell them you recieved a better opportunity that better aligns with your current goals and add some fluff. At the end of the day, esp as an intern or a1 you are extremely replaceable. They will go down the list and pick out another cog.
