Are there good in-house opportunities for policyholder-side coverage litigators? Has anyone gone through this process?

Sorry if I sound ignorant but how is this possible?

like

Some insurance companies have “consultants” on staff that do additional reviews of litigation files with high risk exposure or have the potential to led to awful verdicts.

I know a few lawyers that were ID partners who transitioned to this sort of gig.

I think the difficulty for someone who represents policyholders is the lack of relationships at an insurer that could lead to a job offer, not a competency issue or otherwise. Your perspective would likely be uniquely valuable.

You mean like a non-profit?

I read this question as OP is a policyholder-side coverage attorney and wants to go in-house. Not necessarily in the coverage space. That would be a huge change. Seems like a good question for a recruiter.

What should be the industry standard salary for sde from tier 1 college , and 3.5 yrs of experience in backend in any startup ?

I was trying to reserve space in Pune office via magnet, it’s completely booked for a month. Any help?

I am considering investing in an early stage startup. I know the founders for many years and are more like family to me. I will be investing $100K with a convertible note. What should be the equity that I should be drawing out? I don’t want to draw just the fair amount so the company is not at a disadvantage when they eventually raise money outside of F&F. They are valued at $5M by a startup accelerator and received $50K as part of being admitted into the program. Contd.

Received a job offer. Was wondering if anyone had any thoughts on a concern I had about it. It's an entry level position, and I don't have much experience. The billables are 2040 a year. For billable hours in civil litigation and insurance defense, is 2040 hours for a 1st year associate on the high end in this field for a small or midsize firm? It seems like most attorneys I know have minimum requirements of around 1800. The compensation is around 80k a year.

Mid-level associate at a mid-size regional insurance defense firm practicing coverage litigation. Salary is capped b/c my firm only does I.D./coverage and has no direct-hire comm clients. Second round of interviews with a comm lit boutique where I would be the only associate with 5 partners. Other than partner track, salary/benefits, and switching from coverage to general comm lit, what qualities of the move should I be thinking about as I weigh my options? I've never worked at another firm.

Hi new here. Idk what my value is and if I’m getting paid an amount that reflects my hard work. I am a paralegal for a small law firm (family and immigration) w only 1 attorney. I feel like it’s very unstructured and one of the managers micromanages. It’s like every man for himself. Take home pay is $50k. I am working on my bachelors deg. Do I get paid enough?

I'm a third year plaintiff's employment law attorney and I'm looking to move to defense, preferably still in employment law. I received an offer from a midsize firm that primarily focuses on PI with little-to-no employment law practice, so I'll have a bit of a learning curve. Offer is $90k, billable hours of 2100. Is this reasonable? I'm dead-set on leaving my current job, and this would be a $20k pay increase - which makes me believe I'm leaning towards taking it for those reasons only.
