Are there major differenes in terms of costs on your personal life serving in special operations units compared to the regular armed forces?

I’m looking to transition from my current sales role (purely operational) to a more creative/strategic role that involves public speaking/facilitation. Have some experience in sales development (mainly business development & strategic advice to C-level), branding/marketing, facilitation (as a side-job) and working with content creators.

How useful is a CPA license in finding a non-accounting job? Eventually I want to go into more of a financial analyst role but tbh I’m curious about what most people leave auditing to go into. I’m open to anything.

Looking for advice: would you stay in partner pipeline at Big 4 or move to one of the MBBs as a principal? I am hearing that with Big 4 getting into strategy more, MBBs will be obsolete soon thoughts?

I am curious how other inclusion teachers are being utilized when the school is doing remote learning. I find that I am sitting in the zoom class and have very little opportunity to contribute. Do you ever regret pursuing the life of a soldier?

For those that have been in awhile and looking closely at retirement. Are you switching careers or if you did how did it go? What advice would you give someone four years out from retirement?

Many movies romanticize the sacrifice of one soldier and leave them as a hero, but I have always thought that I hate that. Why would someone need to lose his life to be a hero? I believe the mere fact that we put our life at risk in service is enough to be a hero

If you had to choose between the army and the navy, which one would you choose and why?

The feeling of avoiding mines buried on the gorund is one I carry at all times, and I remember the fear and the anxiety at every step. I still feel like this today, like every decision I make will lead to disaster.

Take victories and defeats as equals! Nothing will teach young soldiers more than making mistakes in the heat of battle that almost cost you your life. If you're still breathing, there's something to learn. Listen to it.

What's the biggest life lesson joining the military taught you?

How does one decide to take risks and apply for news job when the state of the economy and the world is ever changing. We know salaries are going up, but employers struggle doling out the cash. Is it better to stick where you are or jump into something new?

I don't know if it was only me, but I felt I couldn't truly trust any of my mates on deployment. Am I the only one?

If I have double British and American citizenship, should I join the US or British army?

Many people ask me if we will be getting into a war with Russia. The way things look I think not, even though we are the most powerful military force in the world, a war between two such large forces would only be the destruction of the world.

Is the military a well-paid career? I’m asking for my future.

What's your favorite tactical vehicle?

Getting into the military helped my feeling of abandonment due to my father's absence. It sounds funny, but being in the military showed me another type of parenthood that I needed.

My colleagues are bullying me for being gay. I thought that was against the law. Should I talk to a lawyer?

Am I the only one who fears a third world war is among us? I've been studying the circumstances that led to WW1 and WW2, and let me tell you, we're not as far as they were. I hope the better judgment of people avoids such a catastrophic outcome.

Does anyone else feel like they have become too utilitarian and objective?

I just became a commander. I've always been a good soldier, but it's my turn to lead. I hope I do a good job. Any words of encouragement?

What makes a good soldier in your opinion?

I always have faith that everything will make sense, and we will move into a better era. Sometimes it's challenging to maintain that faith, but it's always there.
