I prefer to pencil all my comps and pin them up on oversized presentation boards so when we present we all have to huddle awkwardly around them.
Midjourney/chatGPT/Photoshop
Google Slides
Photoshop for comps and photo editing, illustrator for vectors, depends on client for decks, but some combo of keynote/Google slides/PowerPoint
I just AI it
I’m still using Adobe Photoshop for comps, Lightroom for photo touch ups. If it’s a crazy comp that I can’t make on my own, I’ll use ChatGPT or Midjouney.
Big game changer has been learning Figma, which omg they really care about the user experience. They have features that I would have never thought I needed. For example, in a paragraph where I have two colors or more, I don’t need to go and select the text manually and change the color. It’s right in a panel for me and I swear it brought a tear to the eye.
Frankly I hardly use any AI except for generative fill. Photoshop and illustrator, occasionally premiere.
Mentor
Still Photoshop for comps, a little AI here and there, but sometimes the things it makes are so bad that I have no patience for it. It’s just faster for me to photoshop it instead of trying 5000 different prompts to accomplish something simple. Still, sometimes AI is a good shortcut or starting point.
Decks depends, but usually switch between Google Slides, Keynote, and PowerPoint, depending on who they’re for.
For vector type stuff, Illustrator is still the standard, though I don’t use it so much.
Notes
Can be photoshopping while I have two separate ai searches going. It’s all so easy now. Kinda scary.
Junior Creative; I use Photoshop, Premiere, and GTP Free. Being comfortable with my process I’m on the fence about Midjourney & GPT Pro. Gpt’s Agents are supposed to be the wave of the future? but how will creative departments put them to use—IDK.
Chat GPT
Like the comments suggest, a shitton of AI and an occasional interaction with Photoshop. Illustrator is pretty awesome for deck design in google slides
Visual Storyteller
Why can’t figma output to Xcode!!
Photoshop + mid-journey for comps, illustrator for design / comps, aftereffects for animation, ChatGPT as a brainstorm/troubleshooting partner, and Google slides. Also lots of image search sites.
Midjourney + ChatGPT + Photoshop for comps
Illustrator for vector graphics
InDesign for publishing
Google Slides + PPT for decks
I play dumb and say I don’t know how to use Figma so I don’t work on digital projects, which I hate.
Visual Storyteller
Illustrator / Photoshop and all the ai I can use.
