I'm sure there are a lot of ethical considerations related to trust and patients having confidence in providers. But the reliability issue is really one that is, as you note, concerning. My assumption is that for a great many cases what the AI tool returns may be "good enough." But there are certain to be cases where it misses something that human judgment would not. And that's a pretty scary scenario.

Yes I agree ! It’s scary !
Yeah I share your concerns a lot. AI can be powerful, but it’s not infallible. The main ethical challenge is ensuring AI doesn’t replace human judgment or make biased decisions. It’s important to have oversight and balance between AI and healthcare professionals to ensure accuracy and patient safety. I have low trust in the handrails that are currently being used to make AI ethical though :/

I am scared for the future !
It’s all about expectations. Think of the AI as an admin. They can grab files, collate things, pluck out some simple data, look up data, cite a protocol… but in the end you are the one that thinks and makes the decision. The trouble happens when people rely on the AI to do everything including make the decisions. Always keep a human in the loop.

Yes we def still need humans ! I agree with that
