STOP dramatizing it. Working 9 to 11 literally 3 days a week and then maybe 6 or 7 or 8 on Thursday and then perhaps 6 (if that) on Friday isn't half bad.

People make it sound like we work until 2 every night. The number of days I have to do that are >>10 per year.

This form is open to discussing anything and everything that you feel about someone you have personally worked for. Your personal feeling on the hours work may differ from the person sitting next to you. I’ve learned this from work in 18 to 21 hour days and losing his spouse. So please leave others alone and worry about posting your own problems. Have a great day

I cannot imagine not walking every day (10k steps = 1h or 1.5h) and going to the gym for 1h 3 days per week at least. I would feel very unhealthy if I had to work untl 11pm

People hate on LEK all the time… but I’m at Eyp and it’s 9am-12/1am Monday - Thursday and 9-6ish on Friday, though my past project was 9-9ish a few Fridays in a row (I got in trouble for having a 6 pm personal commitment on a recent Friday)

I am sorry man. Regardless of where you are this is really rough hours. Hope it gets better!

Who in the world starts engagement work at 9AM? You’re an hour past actual go-time in my years of experience in the real world. And for sure, don’t account for the need to plan any timeslots for other life commitments that don’t revolve solely around one’s own hedonistic life….Like kids(!!) Or like mowing the lawn, or health concerns, or a sick family member or other issues that creep in every darn place you wouldn’t expect. Or, personal pursuits you can’t cram into the weekend and that can’t be fitted into that nice neat hour of morning gym and protein shake. Glad you’re living the dream and hope you’re never faced with adjusting your 24 hrs per day on the fly, on the regular!

Also, anything using my MBA would be favored as well, this degree is not healthcare specific. Thank you!

What is considered a “large” caseload in employment litigation? I work at a large L&E boutique law firm and handling about 14-15 active litigation cases in state/federal court or arbitration. Some of these matters are multi-plaintiff and multi-defendant cases, but none are class actions. This does not include any matters I am handling in the charge stage or in pre-litigation. Not sure if that’s a typical caseload or not?

So i have been fortunate that i have managed to go through my career without the need for a degree. I was lucky enough to have been hired by one of the worlds top consulting firms, worked with a whole lot of big clients and travelled a lot. It's gotten to the point where I am not even asked about the lack of a degree on my resume. Personally though, it bothers me. I have a whole bunch of certifications in my industry…but just no formal degree. (cont'd)
