After submitting my resume for the Global Finance and Business Management full time position at JP Morgan (my dream job!), I got a HireVue invite the next day! However, I completed it 9 days ago and still have no response....
When do we get a response in average, and after how much time does it mean I probably am not getting an offer to continue?
Thanks!

‘At-will employment’ at its finest… unless your employer or their manager did something illegal, or you live in a ‘for cause’ state, they’re shot… if they did violate some kind of rule, regulation, etc… then they can maybe move forward with pursuing some recourse…
I once was forced to resign by a skip level manager that threatened the end of my career in financial services by terminating me… this was right after repeated ADA disclosures to my manager and compliance manager… we were even working on a verbal course of action… I contacted HR and Ethics the same day, opened a case… and when everything was said and done we came to a number that was very significant for 2 months of employment…
There is hope… but only under the right circumstances and you’d need to have a f*ck you mentality and be willing to go for broke…

Yeah, it sounds like a terrible situation all around…
There are lawsuits over intimidation and retaliation in business, but it all obviously depends on the precise circumstances and what proof exists. Your coworker could enlist an employment attorney and see if they have a viable case. There are a lot of factors that would impact it, such as gathering evidence of wrongdoing, and what the state law might be. We hear about cases like that at times, but I imagine they're pretty rare because something have to be extremely blatant to get a lawyer to take the case and have it stand up in court.
It wouldn't be an awful idea for them to consult with an employment attorney if they think there is some retaliation at work. Without evidence of discrimination though, I can't imagine they have much of a case. At least you know to stay well away from that team and manager.
