As an interviewee, at which points during an interview process should I write the interviewer a thank you note? Is to every person I talk to in the process? (Even the screener recruiter) How long after the interview is should do it? E-mail or LinkedIn? Looking for some insight into US market etiquette. Thank you for any insight!

How many interviews is too many? I’ve done 5 one on ones with different people in the practice group. They want me to talk to a few more, but I’m frustrated. It’s so hard to find time to schedule these things and the associates don’t seem to understand I can’t just take them in the middle of the work day at work. Recruiter thinks it’s a good sign. FWIW they haven’t communicated to me position level they’d expect.

What do you guys think, do recruiters share the real salary/range or are they sharing the low-end range for leverage? Or both?

And does being an internal or external recruiter influence how they approach salary transparency in the early screening/interview phase?

I have 3 YoE and would be moving from engineering. the HR person asked me what my salary expectations were I was caught offguard and said I would expect it to be at least what I make now (around 100k). Im now worried theyll lowball me because I really shouldve asked for 120+bonus (I think this is market rate?) But they have salary bands they follow right?So if they pay consultants 140 usually would they offer me 100k?

Hi! I work for an Interior Designer in DC, it is just the two of us in the company.On paper, I’m an independent contractor, but in reality they are my boss. Recently, they said they wanted a conversation about me being salaried employee and it’ll come with an increase in pay. I currently make 48k. I don’t have a job description.
