been looking for a job in retail and i have been having a hard time in the last two months looking for a job applied to 14 different places in the last couple of months with only two interviews and a whole ton of what feels like rejections to openings despite working in customer service since i was 19 and now 27.. it feels harder and harder to get a job to live much less start. how do people deal with so much rejected jobs and already have bills coming in faster than you have applicants??

I will be totally honest with you, two interviews and only 14 applications are actually pretty good. I send about 20 per day and I'm still not getting that much response. You just have to keep applying and trying to find work, it really is a numbers game.

I see this is what I was thinking too

Totally understand—constant rejections can wear you down fast. Just know you’re not alone, and your experience does matter. Hang in there—you’ll land something.

This is just a tough market. I hope you're not taking it personally because I know SO many people (myself included) who have been unemployed for a while. You just gotta hang in there, and maybe increase the amount of applications you are sending in too!

Stay determined and keep applying. Write quick, custom/personalized cover letters if you can. In this job market, you really have to stand out

I know how you feel.
I’ve been out of work since February this year.
I’ve only just found a temp job only to be told that they only can only have me till Xmas eve then if any positions are available for me they will tell me.
Otherwise will be looking into going with engage education which sets you up as a teacher or teachers assistant.
All you need to do is go through a DBS check.
So don’t be to down hearted something will turn up.when you least expect it.♥️

I been in the same situation ware im located in my city is so packed of student of college and most of them get the job s , the only jobs that you can find is out of the town : out of the city and is so complicated rn

It also helps to personally know someone in the place you apply to. Internal referrals are important these days. Otherwise, some people go to the job physically and see if they can meet the hiring manager and say something like “oh I was just in the area and was wondering if you had any openings” kind of thing. Sometimes it’s just timing!

It’s definitely a struggle. You just have to make sure you keep your head up and do not give up. The bills are real you just have to keep the grind on good luck.

I'm a first yr attorney at an insurance firm and am in the process of interviewing for an in-house position at a tech company. The position is pretty much generalist, but I get the impression I'd be working mostly on SaaS and partnership transactions. I definitely think I would like the transactional work better, but I am concerned about the long-term earning potential vs. partnership. How common is it to eventually make $400k+ in-house/how difficult is it to transition back to a firm? Thanks!

I’m a newer registered nurse (2 years) and want to get into remote work. I keep getting denied due to lack of experience but to even get the job I have now (case manager) the company knew one of my family members and they gave me a chance to interview because of that. For these remote companies where I don’t have connections how can I transition over?

Does any one know UK onsite salary for manager role for short term

Anyone have advice for advancing in your current role? My co-worker was hired in at manager level but somehow “proved” he was actually doing director level work and got a title promotion and salary increase in less than a year. I also went above and beyond my job as well (covering for him for a month while he was away on paternity leave) while taking on other projects outside of my job title and got zip—no raise or recognition. Any advice would be appreciated!
