Thought I'd share another leadership opportunity, this time for industry leaders in the Tech & Digital sector. Would love to connect with anyone who is a senior leader (MD / SVP) with deep experience in this sector alongside leadership experience in a TA / Growth or Client Relationship environment. Amazing opportunity to further establish and grow our presence with global leaders in Tech.

Thanks!
I wholeheartedly agree. That's why I volunteer at Operation Hope. Those of us who are educated and have the time/ability to give back really have an opportunity to make a positive change within our communities.
Oh wow, how have you been liking it so far? Is it impactful?
Yes!!! I’m curious how to change this. I know I stay preaching to people I know back home, but the culture needs to change.. I just don’t know how?
It's overwhelming to think about but taking incremental steps is crucial. I think starting with back home is perfect and continue to support organizations that are addressing this.
For sure. Teaching financial literacy to our kids is the only hope for closing the Black wealth gap. It would be great if finance organizations offered more community education events. I don't usually hear about anything like that.
I hear of a few from big banks but they seem so self-serving (on the banks side)

No lies are told here… I realized this when I first started in Wealth management and I started studying for the Series. And honestly I noticed it through my friends / family the lack of financial literacy .. it’s wild but What can we do? Or how can we improve this?
I'm thinking of programs and nonprofits I can support but it's really overwhelming looking at the reality of it all
My favorite topic... financial literacy, especially when it comes to our people. I volunteered with Operation Hope through a professional organization several summers ago. It was rewarding and heartbreaking at the same time. I had to teach 12-13 year old students. The sad part was having to stop and teach basic math before continuing the actual lesson. One girl who I worked with wanted my contact info. This was not permitted. I constantly wondered what happened to her. Another student told me she doesn't need to learn how to create a balanced budget as there's food stamps, her father or credit card. The knowledge is greatly needed. 😒
I believe it had to do with privacy and child safety. I would have loved the opportunity to meet with the girl's parents to see how I could have helped further. However, either the coordinator or the girl didn't follow up after I left my information.
