South end / back bay!
Southie is very young feels like frat row during the summer, north end is close to downtown but packed with tourists most weekends, Ink block is trendy with Whole Foods/soul cycle under the Apts, Cambridge/Somerville is cheaper with a ton of stuff to do, but most people stay on their side of the Charles so if you have friends in Boston it may be tougher logistically
I don’t live Mass anymore but Back Bay has my vote - there are cool places in Cambridge too but I’d stick to places where you have easy T access (which is why I would rank Seaport or Southie lower).
Ultimate dream would be Beacon Hill but those nicer units are hella expensive lol
Southie! Also from Boston
Imagine living in back bay as a recent graduate. Have fun spending >50% of your salary on rent!
First years make ~$120K cash I think they'll be alright.
Allston-Brighton, Back Bay-Beacon Hill, East Boston, Jamaica Plain, and South Boston are all great.
