Calling a former employer travel desk...

I have a UA travel credit from two employers ago that I can't rebook myself. It says I have to call the original ticketing agency to rebook. It's not a lot - $235 - but I'm wondering if anyone has ever done this before successfully. It's good thru the end of this year. Will they care that I don't work there any more and haven't for nearly 3 years?

I can’t say for certain for your former employer, but most companies consider unused travel credits their property, not yours.

like

Depends entirely if you purchased the ticket or they did. If they did it’s theirs if it was with your money you may be able to get it

If you are a 1K or GS United may be willing to do it for you on the phone btw

I am scheduled to fly from NYC to Mumbai via Paris next Wednesday (Jan 5) for a ~10 day trip. Have any of you, your family, friends, etc. flown a similar route (I.e. from US to India via Europe) in the past week? If so, what is the arrival process (Covid test, quarantine requirements, etc.)? I’ve had all recommended vaccine shots and I’m only in Paris for a 2 hour layover (not leaving the airport). Any information on this would be greatly appreciated!

SO and I got in to a disagreement on the background of Indian tech CEOs. It appears that they are all from 1 or 2 major communities in India.

While he thinks that its genetics/being naturally gifted that got them to where they are I believe it's the environment & discipline that made them successful. We are not from said communities but curious to hear your thoughts on who is more accurate.

Can I just vent on how annoyed I am with the increase in “priority boarding” of people that are able bodied? I am happy to let them on first. But I think they should get off last. So many times they are limping or in a wheelchair boarding. And then when we land that are the first to jump up and scurry off. Just not ethical.
