It should be! I had IAD to LGA in full fare First become IAD to EWR in coach, and they gave me PQMs based on First fare class for IAD to EWR route.
Also, PHL not PHI as an FYI :) safe travels!
You can request original routing credit as well as a refund for involuntary downgrade
You should have the option of credit for the original route at 200% or the route you actually took at 100%. It should credit what you actually flew automatically, or you can call to request the original credit (original routing credit).
You should get nothing as punishment for flying UA in the first place
It’s what you paid. Not what you were routed. Check the fare class of your new routing, you may actually get higher mileage based on new routes. I had that happen and I was in economy but F class and got credit for F class
I would check with United, because last month I was supposed to do DEN - IAD - LHR which became DEN - IAH - LHR and I got credited for the latter. Maybe that was because my travel agent rebooked?
MSP > IAH > ATL on United was rebooked by the gate agent due to first flight being overly delayed. Was rebooked on Delta MSP > ATL direct flight. Collected both sets of miles, including PQD and PQM. Had to call the premier line, though, to make it happen.
PwC1, I suppose you gained significantly more PQM the second routing, so I'd just take it and be happy.
Award miles will be based on ticket value. PQMs will be based on flown distance and class, but you can request that they give you the correct amount for the original ticket if your new ticket is less PQM
