Booked UA biz, PHI-ORD. Delayed and re-routed PHI-IAD-ORD in economy (but still on original ticket). Will PQMs be based on the actual/longer routing at 200% fare class bonus?

It should be! I had IAD to LGA in full fare First become IAD to EWR in coach, and they gave me PQMs based on First fare class for IAD to EWR route. Also, PHL not PHI as an FYI :) safe travels!

You can request original routing credit as well as a refund for involuntary downgrade

like

You should have the option of credit for the original route at 200% or the route you actually took at 100%. It should credit what you actually flew automatically, or you can call to request the original credit (original routing credit).

like

You should get nothing as punishment for flying UA in the first place

like

It’s what you paid. Not what you were routed. Check the fare class of your new routing, you may actually get higher mileage based on new routes. I had that happen and I was in economy but F class and got credit for F class

I would check with United, because last month I was supposed to do DEN - IAD - LHR which became DEN - IAH - LHR and I got credited for the latter. Maybe that was because my travel agent rebooked?

MSP > IAH > ATL on United was rebooked by the gate agent due to first flight being overly delayed. Was rebooked on Delta MSP > ATL direct flight. Collected both sets of miles, including PQD and PQM. Had to call the premier line, though, to make it happen. PwC1, I suppose you gained significantly more PQM the second routing, so I'd just take it and be happy.

Award miles will be based on ticket value. PQMs will be based on flown distance and class, but you can request that they give you the correct amount for the original ticket if your new ticket is less PQM

Question regarding traditional vs Roth 401k decision. I joined a new firm and they allow for Roth 401k and Mega back door Roth contribution. I’m 26 years old with a salary of 135k + bonus and have a traditional IRA (previous 401k) and a Roth IRA that are similar worth (50k each) I’m trying to decide how I should go about my new 401k with my new firm. Should I go with traditional 401k for the tax relief and after-tax back door to my Roth IRA? Thoughts, suggestions please. TIA

When I was hired as an associate, I was informed that associates are paid within a certain range based on their graduation class year. I negotiated my salary, but was told the firm could not pay a higher amount because of the range associated with my class year. Fast forward one year, a new associate is hired (same class year as me) and I find out that said person, who is of the opposite gender, is paid approximately $50k more then me. Any advice on how to handle?

Have you ever accepted an offer somewhere, and then a week later your current agency countered with a promotion and a higher salary than the other offer? I want to take the counter from my current place, but I don’t want to soil my reputation for revoking my acceptance. They are trying hard to retain me. Also, will I have a target on my back if I stay and they knew I was going to leave? I am also just grateful to have options and want to acknowledge that.

Got a verbal offer from a large wealth management firm for $120k with $10k annual bonus (don’t know details about signing bonus yet) in a HCOL city, I’m currently in a MCOL city at $96k. Is it a good idea to take the $24k raise but jump to a more expensive city in a state with much higher taxes or should I stay and hold out for the next opportunity?
