Hi Fishes, I grabbed an offer at Accenture with 12 LPA fixed for Level 9. I'm not getting a retention offer from my current company at 13.5 lpa. How do I go about a counter offer with Accenture HR? Also tell me how to approach this situation smoothly.
If HR doesn't fulfill the counter offer, is it ok to accept 12 lpa fixed for Level 9 and when will I get a hike here and how much would it be approximately?

Most likely, messed up as that is. If they fired you, it might be a different story. But just writing you up is probably legal, if reprehensible.

I would look into the company policies to make sure they’re telling you the correct info

They probably can. However, if you let them know you couldn’t come in due to unsafe weather conditions, I don’t see how that’s a no call no show. In any case, I’d let them know I’m not coming in and the reason why. Whether they believe me is on them

That sounds rough. Companies *can* have attendance policies, but many states have exceptions for unsafe travel due to weather. It depends on local labor laws and the exact policy—document everything and check with HR or your state’s labor department to see if that “no call, no show” hold is enforceable.
