I’m a woman in my mid 20s and constantly face situations where people outside of cyber (still within the company) that I’m dealing with (older men in particular) who always push back against my cyber/technical recommendations even with managers cc’d. I studied, earned certs, and worked hard to get to where I am. Is it bc of my gender and age? In all honesty, I’ve written recommendations that male counterparts voiced in the past that had ZERO pushbacks.

I've observed so many corporate versions become an advertising strategy (SM posts, diversity reports) without doing the actual work (increasing representation in senior leadership, salary analyses, having an effective reporting system for bias). When and how do you push back on people senior to you? Fifth year dealing with supersenior associate (11th year) who completely lacks good judgment & common sense. One of those super smart but impractical types. As just one example, he recently called me to tell me to call someone who’s on vacation and ask them to send a calendar invite. I’m a CRC who manages Investigator- led clinical research projects and I want to transition to a PM role in industry (I would slightly prefer not a PM role in clinical trials since I don’t have clinical trial experience.) I’ve applied to PM roles at many biotech companies (e.g. Charles River, ICON, Paraxel) but only got 1 interview which didn’t work out. Which companies should I look to for an entry level PM role?
